THE SCIENCE

Asiatic acid (from Centella Asiatica) is a triterpenoid compound with documented evidence of stimulating the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans — including hyaluronic acid — and supporting the production of growth factors involved in skin regeneration. It is increasingly recognised in the clinical literature for its ability to promote collagen synthesis and improve skin firmness.

Lactic acid is an alpha-hydroxy acid derived from botanical sources that exfoliates at the skin's surface by loosening the bonds between dead corneocytes, accelerating cell turnover and revealing fresher skin beneath. Its larger molecular size compared with glycolic acid makes it well tolerated, and its humectant properties hydrate as it exfoliates — a dual action that distinguishes it from harsher resurfacing agents.

Mandelic acid, derived from bitter almonds, has the largest molecular size of the three acids in this formulation — resulting in slower, more gradual skin penetration, making it particularly suitable for those with sensitivity or congestion-prone skin. Its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties make it effective for uneven skin tone and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

Together, these three acids deliver comprehensive resurfacing activity across the stratum corneum and upper dermis — driving cell renewal, improving moisture retention and supporting the regenerative processes that underpin firmer, more luminous skin.

HOW TO USE

There is a build-up time frame to follow below:

  • Week 1 - Use twice a week for 10 minutes
  • Week 2 - Use 2 - 3 times a week for 20 minutes
  • Week 3 - Use 3 - 7 times a week for 20 minutes
  • Week 4 - Leave on the skin overnight
  • Week 5 - Can be used with Roll-CIT

10 - 20 MINUTE APPLICATION:

  • Use in the evening  
  • Pre-cleanse, cleanse and tone  
  • Using the brush provided apply a thin layer to the face, neck and décolleté  
  • Leave on the skin for 10 - 20 minutes and then remove with tepid water  
  • Follow with your Environ regime

OVERNIGHT APPLICATION:

  • Pre-cleanse, cleanse and tone.  
  • Apply Environ boosters and moisturisers.  
  • Leave to absorb for 20 minutes.  
  • Follow with a thin layer to face, neck and décolleté.  
  • Leave on overnight.
