What does face toner do?

Modern toners do not all serve the same purpose. A hydrating toner may add humectants and soothing ingredients after cleansing. A balancing toner can provide a light conditioning step before serum. An exfoliating tonic contains ingredients such as glycolic, lactic or salicylic acid and should be treated as an active exfoliant, not a harmless splash used automatically twice a day.

How and when to use toner

Match the toner to the skin
